Coby's 3-Year Photo Shoot with Mommy

Saturday, Alain had to present at a symposium at Wrightsville Beach, so we decided to make it a family day and head to the beach to play in the biggest sandbox around :) Of course, an early morning at the beach must include pics of my big boy!

He was not real jazzed with the idea of posing~ he kept asking to get his dump truck and front-loader from the car!

Mom's response~ the quicker you listen and obey, the quicker we can get play clothes on and trucks:) It allowed me a couple more successful shots...

Then it was PLAY time, and Coby was in truck and sand heaven!

It was such a fun morning, followed by seafood lunch on the river walk in Wilmington, and time with the cousins in Fayetteville on the way home~ the perfect Birthday weekend!

Updates~ and maybe I will be back :)

Keep posted for the next few days as I work to update the blog (especially the main picture)! Coby is definitely looking much different these days and the main picture will likely be confused for his baby brother here in a week or two!

The first year is one that is always full of updates, so I will try to be better about posting. Plus, Coby is just fabulous these days, and it is high time I get back to documenting his growth!

So, preliminary updates~ we are expecting the arrival of Ethan Peter sometime in the next two weeks! We are super excited, yet, often times I feel like we are still not completely aware of the major changes life is about to deal us!

Coby turned THREE last friday! We celebrated with CUPCAKES with his class, dinner at Chammps to watch the RAM, a trip to the BEACH to play in the world's largest sandbox :), and a trip to visit COUSINS in Fayetteville. It was a wonderful family weekend together, and Coby loved every part of it! We see the pediatrician next week, so stay tuned for all of his stats. Though I can tell you from our many visit there as of late, he is just over 30 pounds and is a skinny little thing that runs around all day long.

Coby is so excited to meet Ethan! My favorite was last week~ while laying in my bed settling for bedtime routine, he said, "Mommy, I want to see Ethan" and pulled up my shirt. He then rested his head on my belly and said, "I hope you come out soon! Daddy has your car seat all ready for you to ride in his car. Okay, good bye!" Promptly, he pulled my shirt down and was done! So cute! This week he keeps telling me that Ethan will be out in just one week every time I tell him sometime in the next couple of weeks. It is such a delight~ we will see if he is just as excited when Ethan actually comes home :)

I promise to update pics later today or this week! I will do my best to keep everyone in the loop over the coming weeks. So many exciting things to share!
